National Level Examination of Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematical Competitions 2014 - 15 (SRMC 2014 - 15) organized by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) was hosted by Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon for North Zone Chapter level Winners on 25th February 2015.
In remembrance of a great Indian mathematician and autodidact Srinivasa Ramanujan who made extraordinary contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions this National level Examination is organized every year by ISTE. There are three levels in SRMC Examination namely Chapter Level, Zonal Level and National Level, separately for all four categories including Engineering College Teachers, Engineering College Students, Polytechnic College Teachers and Polytechnic College Students. All the students from first to final year are eligible to apply.
The Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in association ISTE also organized Chapter Level Examinationwhich was conducted “online” on 1st November 2014.
In Chapter Level Examination, 34 students and 2 faculty member appeared in the competition. There were 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’s) carrying one mark each. The evaluation was done immediately after the examination. The top five winners are sent to Zonal Level Contest.
Zonal Level Examination was also conducted at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in association with ISTE - Student Chapter on 09th January 2015. The students from different College who were the Chapter level winners appeared in this examination. The winners from Zonal Level Examination appeared in the National level examination.
The qualified students from Zonal Level Examination took part in the National level Examination held on 25th February 2015.
In the examination Engineering and Polytechnic Students and Engineering Teachers from the states of Delhi, NCR, Punjab, U.P and Rajasthan participated in the test to compete nationally.
