SQL SERVER DAY ORGANIZED BY MICROSOFT CORPORATION
On 21st February 2015, SQL SERVER DAY organized by Microsoft Corporation (India). The session was delivered by Mr. Amit R S Bansal (Director & Principal Consultant at eDominer Systems & Peopleware India) and Mr. Sarabpreet.
Mandisha Sharma (Roll no 16085) and Kavita Fulara (Roll no 16080) students of CSE Department attended this Event. SQLServerGeeks.com is a community portal on Microsoft SQL Server, an RDBMS product from Microsoft. SQL Server is key component of Microsoft’s Data & Business Intelligence Platform strategy. SQLServerGeeks.com tries to impart & spread knowledge around SQL Server through blogs, podcasts, and webcasts. In SQL Server event the first session was taken by Mr. Amit R S Bansal (SQL Maestros), in which he talked about “SQL Server Operating System-What the heck is that?” and discussed about the SQL operating system is a mini OS inside SQL Server & showed the demo of SQL OS in action. He told about using the various parameter-DMOS waiting task, Start and End Offset, Extended events, Tracking Causality and about ‘Sniffing’.
The next session was taken by Mr. Sarabpreet Singh Anand (MVA). The speaker had continued the session by boosting the mob about “Delayed Durability” concept in SQL Server 2014.
The session was very helpful and makes students one-step closer to use this feature. Students were introduced more with the basic and internal functioning of SQL memory. The session made the attendees more aware about SQL.
