Google Cloud - From Zero to Hero

Google Developers Group (GDG) organized a workshop on cloud computing - "Google Cloud- From Zero to Hero", on 8th February 2015 at 91 Springboard, Gurgaon. About 50 participants showed up to learn the basics of Google Cloud platform and showed interest to develop the same. Shivansh Mudgil, Google Student Ambassador of CSE Department fromDronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated at the event for hands on session. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Vikram Tiwari, Google Cloud expert from GDG, New Delhi.
Google Cloud Platform helps to build and host applications and websites, store and analyze data on Google's scalable infrastructure.
Mr. Tiwari started from the basic concepts and went through the various product offerings by the platform like App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud DataStore, Cloud SQL, Big Query, Translate API, Cloud Endpoints and Prediction API. Later on that day a static website on the App Engine was hosted by Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon.
The event proved to be very fruitful and ended with discussions on the usefulness of Google Cloud Platform with the GDG team.
