IIT Roorkee Social Fest SANKALP 2015

6th to 8th February 2015

IIT Roorkee hosted a 3 days fest Sankalp from 6th - 8th February 2015. Mr. Mridul Verma, II Year student of Mechanical Engineering Department from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was selected as the Campus Ambassador.

The aim of this fest was to involve the youth of the country into social activities in order to interact and to propose a technical solution for the country’s socio-economic problems. The tagline of the fest was “Bridging Barriers”. It provided a common platform to NSS chapters and other socially active groups in IITs and other prestigious institutions, to collaborate and discuss the possibility of working towards the betterment of the society, in an integrated way.

As the Campus Ambassador, Mr. Mridul Verma promoted the fest and its events to maximum number of students. He promoted via online sources like Facebook and WhatsApp and offline sources like posters and directly reaching out to the students. The posters highlighted all details of the events.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the fest and simultaneously learned a lot.
