21st International Engineering & Technology Fair (IETF 2015)

The 21st IETF 2015 (INTERNATIONAL ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY FAIR) was organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from 26-28 February 2015 at Pragati Maidan. The motive of the exhibition was India-Japan Partnership in the various fields, such as Environment, Energy, Automotive, Rail, Infrastructure and others. Twenty nine students from Computer Science & Engineering Department from Dronacharya College of Engineering attended the event.
International Engineering & Technology Fair is a biennial flagship event of the Confederation of the Indian Industries (CII), organized since 1975 that displays a vast range of automobile parts, environmental energy products, machinery parts, railway infrastructure and such other high end technological products. With enthusiastic participation by partner countries, this event helps in channeling latest innovations into the Indian engineering sector. Supported and well represented by major public and private players, this event is the primary hub of major contracts and business partnerships.
The Exhibition of IETF was segmented into well-defined relevant sections of the engineering & manufacturing industry. The main features of IETF 2015 were Partner Country, Country Pavilions, Conferences / Seminars, Focused Business Fairs The focused business fairs at IETF 2015 represented the following industry sectors like Manufacturing Technologies for the Automotive Sector, Green Mobility Solutions – Electric & Alternate Fuel Technologies, Modern solutions for Solid Waste Management, Logistics technologies, Metal & Metallurgy, Water Treatment solutions. In addition to the Partner Country, IETF 2015 had a number of country pavilions and direct participation from many overseas companies.
From the sessions, the students got introduced more with the new innovative ideas. The session made the attendees more aware about Natural Resources, Manufacturing Technologies for the Automotive Sector, Green Mobility Solutions – Electric & Alternate Fuel Technologies, Modern solutions for Solid Waste Management, Logistics technologies, Metal & Metallurgy, Office Automation, Skills Development, Water Treatment solutions. There were many companies Micro-Fix Co.,Ltd, SHOWA ELECTRIC MFG.CO.,LTD, SHASHIN KAGAKU CO., LTD., FNA Japan, Inc., Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., East Japan Railway/Infrastructure Company, TOTO INDIA INDUSTRIES PVT. LTD. It was really interactive and truly knowledgeable expo with fruitful output of knowledge.
