International Conference on Microfinance and Micro entrepreneurship: “A Paradigm shift for skill Development.”organized by joint efforts of Department of Economics, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya (BPSMV) Sonepat, India (First State Women University in North India) and Banque Populaire Chair in Microfinance of the Burgundy School of Business, France on 28th Feb 2015. Mr. Ravi Dutt, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon presented a paper titled “Role of Microfinance in Attaining Financial Inclusion & Women Empowerment: An Overview”.
Mr. Ravi Dutt highlighted how to evolve strategies for eradicating poverty, strengthening growth, attaining financial Inclusion & women empowerment through microfinance. The Conference also served as a forum to discuss and to integrate the recent skill development programme initiated by Government of India with the development of micro entrepreneurs and micro financing.
The conference was an attempt to provide a platform to the academicians, policy makers, NGOs in the adoption of sound policies for creating economically and financially enabling environment in the world especially in developing countries.
