Visit to 17th Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Open House

One Hundred and Fifty Students from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended the 17th Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi Open House, a significant event designed to showcase the institute’s innovative research and projects. The Open House commenced with registration at 8:00 AM, followed by an inaugural ceremony at Dogra Hall in the Main Administrative Building. The program featured welcome remarks from the Dean of Research and Development, a lamp-lighting ceremony, and an introduction to the event by the Chairperson.
The Director of IIT Delhi delivered opening remarks, emphasized the importance of research and innovation in shaping future technologies. From 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, attendees engaged with over 200 research projects displayed at the Lecture Hall Complex. The projects covered various fields such as artificial intelligence, healthcare innovations, and quantum technology. Interactive demonstrations allowed students to experience firsthand the practical applications of cutting-edge research. The Open House featured notable speakers including: Prof. Randeep Guleria. He discussed about “Healthcare: A Look Back, a Look Ahead.” Mr. Rajat Mishra spoke on “Children: The Agents of Change.” Prof. Bhaskar Kanseri presented “Quantumania: The Power of Quantum Communication”, Prof. Tapan K. Gandhi explored “NeuroAI: Science of Intelligence.” Various activities were organized such as “3 Minutes Talk,” “Artificial Intelligence at IIT Delhi,” and “Mind-Bending Math Tricks,” which encouraged student participation and engagement with complex concepts in an accessible manner.
The event provided a platform for students from DCE and other institutions to interact with IIT faculty and researchers, fostered connections that could inspire future collaborations or academic pursuits. The IIT Delhi Open House not only served as a showcase for groundbreaking research but also as an inspirational event for young minds eager to explore the frontiers of science and technology.
