College to Corporate Program “Soft Skills & Workplace Communication”

The third Face to Face Interaction of the IIT, Bombay professors with the students using A-View was held at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 14th October 2017 wherein a total of 61 final year students from different engineering domains along with faculty coordinators attended the program with an unmatchable zeal.
The main objective of the program was to prepare engineering students for the transition from informal campus environment to a formal corporate environment.
IIT Bombay has designed a series of short courses under the 'College to Corporate' program. It consists of two short courses- Soft Skills and Workplace Communication.
In the first session on Soft Skills, Prof. Virendra Sethi discussed Risks and our ability in taking one. He explained techniques to be followed during various situations in taking the risks. He further discussed the importance of promises and the role they play in our lives. He emphasized on being promiscuous to oneself in any hour of need. He also discussed the communication and its use in our lives. He said that by possessing better communication one can enhance his presentation skills.
The students were spellbound over the way the entire session was conducted by the team and elated over the discussions and valuable skills learned during the sessions.
