Campus Placement "Indian Navy - University Entrance Scheme"

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram hosted the Campus Placement drive for B.Tech all Branches Batch 2018 for Indian Navy on 31st October – 2nd November 2017. Total 213 students from DCE, Gurugram and other colleges participated in the drive.
The Indian Navy is the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces.
The primary objective of the navy is to safeguard the nation's maritime borders, and in conjunction with other Armed Forces of the union, act to deter or defeat any threats or aggression against the territory, people or maritime interests of India, both in war and peace. Through joint exercises, goodwill visits and humanitarian missions, including disaster relief, Indian Navy promotes bilateral relations between nations.
Under the University Entrance Scheme, the Navy Officials try to hunt for the best students who are aggressive yet gentle in their approach.
Commandant Ritwik Chatterjee, along with 3 member's delegation Commandant Vikrant Shukla, Commandant Rakhal Prasad and Mr. Amit Kumar visited the college to facilitate the event.
The event started with a session for the students. Commandant Ritwik Chatterjee explained the students the details which Indian Navy looks forward to have in its prospective officers. He also explained roles and responsibilities in the prospective officer. The students were filled with a feeling of patriotism and the CAN DO attitude.
Post this motivational session, the students underwent the Group Discussion. They were given the latest topic and were asked to brain storm on the given topic.
All the shortlisted students will be getting the intimation from Indian Navy and will be recommended for Staff Selection Board - SSB. The result is expected by March 2018.
