TRYST 2017

Seven students V. Sai Anila (18562), Namrata Sharma(18535), Sonali Kar (18554) and Tamanna Sood (18557) from IT Department and Vipanshu Parashar (17947), Abhinav Pathak(17890) and Ujjwal Choudhary (17940) from CSIT Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended two days fest TRYST 2017 held at IIT Delhi and participated in various events like EDC Summit and Android Workshop on 3rd - 4th March 2017.
The event was started by an inauguration speech given by Mr. Shiv Khera who is a renowned Indian author of self-help books and an activist. He is also known for launching cast based reservation movement in the country and founded an organization called First Foundation.
Students from IT branch, 4th Semester attended EDC summitwhose mission was to create a sustainable and diverse entrepreneurial ecosystem. The next part of the program was the interactions between AdvantEdge and Fitbit . The interaction was fun, intellectual and full of new, fresh ideas. They spoke how the digital world has improved the standards of startups and individual investors along with criticizing the consequences of digital and social media marketing. The 2 hour extravaganza was engaging and there was a fun activity in the end. The audience was given some props and a design and were told to demonstrate their own start up company or an idea within a given time limit.
Students from CSIT branch, 6th Semester attended Android Workshop which was also the final round for android test. The top 3 performing teams from the zonal round from Android Workshop participated in the final round at IIT, Delhi. The competition was divided into three rounds. First round was an elimination round which comprised of quiz completion. Followed by was second round which was a project round. In third round participating teams were given a task according which they needed to perform.
The fest was an amalgamation of fun filled activities and brainy quiz with its unique formats, and innovative themes, the event provided a great platform for students as they interacted with students of other colleges and evaluated their knowledge scale.
