Four students namely Aishwarya Aggarwal (17008), Prachi (17182), Navneet Yadav(17093) and Akash Kumar Giri(17010) from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in national level competition “ENNOVATE 2017” organized by Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur on 24th - 25th March, 2017. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Vinod Aggarwal, industrialist in Nagpur.
The main objective of the competition was to elaborate the ideas and encourage students to develop more innovative ideas, develop their engineering and team skills.
Ennovate 2017 comprised of three types of competitions, which were, project competition, paper presentation and poster competition. Numerous students from different regions participated in the competition with their innovations. Students had to elaborate and explain their ideas to the guests and as well as to others students and people who attended the event. The event focused on the sharing of innovative experiences, Project Implementation, challenges and opportunities for the beginners, vision, mission, values & objectives of the product around the world.
Students of DCE, Gurgaon participated in the project competition. The title of the project was “Anti-collision System using Image Processing”. The project is on the safety and how to avoid collision between the two vehicles. Safety is the necessary part of life. Accident cases report daily on the main roads .Recently studies show that nearly 65% of roads accidents are often avoided if the driving force was warned only one 0.5 seconds before when the collision happens with any object or vehicle. So, by the project life and property of people is saved.
At last, Ms. Poorvi Joshi, Convenor addressed and encouraged all the participants for their hard work.
The competition was fruitful and emerged out as a great opportunity as it helped the participants to refine their ideas by applying the suggestions from various participants and judges. Also, it provided a great learning opportunity and provided exposure to the professional skills of project management, which would lead to superior products and an increased hype in the field of innovation.
