MSP SUMMIT 2017

Nine Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) namely Rahul Rana (16124), Amber Singh (16016), Chanakya Sethi (17039), Brijesh Aggarwal (16044), Ria Arora (17114) and Pranav Sharma (18118) from the CSE Department and Jaiveer Mahlawat (16915), Ashish Gahlawat (16905) and Sushil Sharma (16942) from the CSIT Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the All India MSP Summit 2017 organized by Microsoft India from 23rd - 25th March 2017 at the campus of BITS Pilani, Rajasthan.
The opening speech was given by Mr. Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, the Head-Academic Initiatives of Microsoft India. He discussed how vital the MSP India program. It was the followed by the welcome note and keynote speech from Ms. Annie Mathew, the Audience Evangelism Director at Microsoft and Mr. Narendra Bhandari, GM of Developer Experience at Microsoft India respectively.
They explained Microsoft Technologies such as MS Office, Azure, Holo Lens and many other products. They told how easy and organized the work of the individuals was made since they started using MS technologies. Next various classroom sessions were given by Mr. Ashish Gupta, Senior Product Marketing Manager for Education, Mr. Bishnu Nepak, head of MS Learning and Ms. Simran Dawar, Product Marketing Manager for Education. The expert explained the latest features to be introduced in Skype, LinkedIn and various other Microsoft technologies.
On the final day Mr. Venkatesh, Mr. Sidharth Ram, Mr. Ankit Parekh and many other noted speakers and dignitaries from Microsoft India gave the lecture on Microsoft Technologies. Mr. Rohan Verma Executive Director of MapmyIndia, a MSP alumni discussed entrepreneurship and startups. It was followed by a motivational talk session from Mr. Simon Taufel.
Later various MVPs gave a few inspirational speeches regarding Microsoft, Entrepreneurship, how to be active in this field and various other topics. It was followed by a light-headed MSP Q&A session where MSPs and MVPs interacted with each other and shared their experiences.
The summit ended with a thank you note by Mr. Venkatesh along with various goodies given by Microsoft. The students got an invaluable experience of their lives. The students were immensely benefited from the program. They learned a great deal about various Microsoft opportunities and developments.
