APOGEE_2017

Six students namely Kashika Grover (17064), Kavita (17066), Mandeep Singh (17077), MokshVashisht (17086), Mohit Yadav (17085) and Ansh Bhatia (17021) from Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in various technical events in the technical fest APOGEE 2017 organized by BITS, PILANI from 22nd - 26th March 2017.
Students of DCE participated in “Smash the bug” in which they were ask to debug a ransom ware, also the time duration for completing the task was of 4 hours. The event was held on 24th March. Next, they took part in paper presentation, presented the paper in team of two.
Students also participated in various competitions such as India quiz, Media Mania etc., above that there were many workshops such as International Combustion Engine, Big Data and HADOOP, Digital marketing, financial markets, Aerodynamics of F1 and flight.
Guest speakers included Prakhar Bindal, Founder and CEO of Namekart and he presented "Trial, error and The startup" and Rohan Verma, Executive Director of MapmyIndiaand he presented a speech on "Data analytics, Big Data, Cloud and Security Technologies Reshaping the Future". There were various panel discussions.
Apart from the technical events there were many entertaining shows in which three comedians discussed about political and basic human problems. Another show was of Mr. Zakir Khan (Comedian) who boosted up minds with his jokes.
Overall it was a great experience for the students and they learnt a lot about various technical terms.
