IIC 5.0 Orientation Session

Orientation Session of the Institutions’ Innovation Council (IIC5.0) for the academic year 2022-23 was organized in virtual mode on 11th January, 2023. Innovation Ambassadors, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended the online session.
Mr. Dipan Kumar Sahu (Asst. Innovation Director, Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell & AICTE, Govt. of India) started the session by delivering a welcome note. He started the session and told about the features of the fifth edition of IIC. Throughout the session, he told about the achievements and new features of IIC.
Mr. Dipan Kumar Sahu said that is a reduction in curriculum, thus space is generated for critical thinking, holistic approach and expanding entrepreneurship. He told about the reach of IIC coordinators across all states and union territories of the country. Further, he added about main mission and objective of establishing IIC cell under MoE guidelines in all the HEIs.
He told numbers of ways through which performance of IIC cell could be increased thereby an increment in award points could be procured. He explained the benefits of signing MoU’s with external agencies and submission of good quality videos which would be verified by any three IIC’s of other HEIs before uploading for final public watching. He laid stress upon the training of Innovation Ambassadors (IAs) and advised them to regularly upgrade their skills through participation in training programs.
Next he explained about YUKTI platform for organizing Innovation challenges/competition in the institute for the betterment of award points.
He also explained about the levels of IIC activities and the scheme of awarding points according to the performance of the college.
In a nut shell, he told about the ways through which IIC star rating could be improved or maintained.
In the end he gave vote of thanks to the audiences.
