Hackathon was divided into three evaluation rounds and on the basis of their scores, winners were selected. In every round, two panel of judges evaluated the solutions and suggested improvements. Based on the aggregate score of the judges, the teams were shortlisted. After two hours of coding, first evaluation round began. First round focused on looking at how the teams chooses to move with the problem which included problem understanding, feasibility, study & literature review while in the second and third round participants were evaluated on the basis of how efficiently they solved the problem considering the situation.
Throughout the hackathon, events like flash mobs and yoga sessions were organized to keep teams motivated. After 24 hours of continuous coding, the final code submission was done and final evaluation took place. At the end, results were declared.
Tushar and Lochan of DCE developed a web app called ROUK (acronym for Are you okay?) using LAMP stack which analyze user's condition through various parameters inputted manually for basic health check, questionnaire for mental check and collected symptoms for physical health check, then predicted the disease and help out to reach the related doctor offline, by finding nearby hospitals and online by allowing to consult through video conferencing. They also added multiple other features related to communicable diseases such as hotspots of certain communicable diseases, hospitals near me, finding best route to reach another place avoiding hotspots, and statistics of communicable diseases and in order to increase platform availability they also developed an app using flutter dart with basic functionalities.
It was a great learning experience for all the participants as they got a platform to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical application.
