Training Program on "Vehicle Diagnosis System"
11th - 12th January 2023
The SAE India Collegiate Club at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, organized a training program on “Vehicle Diagnosis System” in collaboration with BOSCH for second-year Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students on 11th - 12th January 2023.
The session was conducted by Mr. Parag S Kavthekar (Technical Trainer, North Region, BOSCH) and coordinated by Mr. Sandeep Bansal and Dr. Pankaj.
Dr. Pankaj Singh welcomed the expert and emphasized the need to connect theoretical learning with practical applications in the automobile industry. The session provided insights into:
- Internal Combustion Mechatronicsand Electric Vehicles
- Advanced vehicle components, sensors, and their integrationwith modern automotive systems
Students engaged in real-time vehicle diagnostics using BOSCH’s lab setup. On the first day, they analyzed a 2012 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, while on the second day, they worked on a FORCE MOTOR Mini Bus and a Hyundai Grand i10 Nios using BOSCH’s ESI software. Through these exercises, they identified faulty components and sensor synchronization issues.
A dedicated session focused on engine components, sensors, exhaust systems, filters, casings, and materials. Battery Power Tester demonstration, showcasing its function in powering motors and alternators was also deliberated.
Impact and Learning Outcomes
The training provided students with practical exposure to automotive diagnostics and emerging technologies, improving their industry readiness. By engaging in hands-on learning, they gained expertise in modern vehicle analysis.
