Visit to - Auto Expo 2023

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a visit to Auto Expo-The Motor Show, 2023 held at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida on 13^th January, 2023 to get aware about the latest trends going in the automobile market and to enrich knowledge about the latest automobile parts, to observe the modifications in the materials as well as design criteria. 6 Faculty members, Prof.  Neha Chauhan, Dr. Kunal Arora, Prof. Yudhveer Verma, Prof.  Rajesh Mattoo, Dr. R. Dheivanai and Prof. Monica from ECE and ME departments went to witness the latest technologies exhibited at the Auto Expo, 2023.

Auto Expo, 2023 was one of the world’s premier auto shows and a signature event that witnessed the best minds coming together on a single platform to showcase all that was best in the automobile world, in terms of products, technologies, concepts and trends. It was more of a window for technical knowledge transfer as it exhibited how the automakers were absorbing newer technologies and promoting home-grown research and development to adapt technology that suited the rugged Indian conditions.

Auto-Expo 2023 was organized during 11^th -18^th January, 2023. Auto Expo-The Motor Show was held after a gap of three years with 75 new launches. Maruti Suzuki's 5-door Jimny, the next-generation Kia Carnival, the MG Air EV, Tata Punch EV, and Hyundai's Ioniq5 are among the vehicles that were launched at the auto expo. The main launchings and attraction of Auto Expo were:

• Tata Motors Curvv Electric SUV showcased at Auto Expo 2023
• Tata Motors aimed to achieve net zeto emissions by 2045.
• Atul Auto forays into EV space, launches two electric three-wheelers.
• MG Motor Launches MGVerse in partnership with Metadome AI.
• Lexus concept vehicles unveiled.
• BYD India plans to launch luxury sedan BYD Seal in Q4 2023.
• Ashok Leyland unveils seven products in alternative fuel segments at Auto Expo 2023.

Along with the display, the Auto-Expo 2023 included VR and AR experiences, a gaming center, a vintage car collection, book stalls, an art and craft activity, and much more. It had engines ready for the Bharat Stage VI, displayed by several manufacturers. It also displayed EV car modules, a cut-section for presenting the working of a multi-cylinder engine, motorboat engine, tyres, filters, and various other accessories. For the entertainment purpose, some companies had organized physical exercise sessions, painting activity and fun activities for kids.

It was a great experience for all the attendees to be a part of Auto Expo-The motor show.
