Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 Mentorship Program on 29th–30th October 2025 at PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 4/7, Gurugram. Under the mentorship of Prof. Pooja Sharma and Prof. (Dr.) Deepak, the event promoted innovation and entrepreneurship among young minds, inspiring them to develop ideas that drive technological progress and self-reliance.
A team of 22 students from DCE actively participated in the Buildathon Bootcamp, which marked the culmination of 15 days of continuous mentoring and collaboration. The objective of the program was to foster innovation-driven problem-solving and to inspire young learners to design solutions addressing real-life challenges in alignment with the vision of a Viksit Bharat — a developed and self-reliant India. Throughout the preparatory phase, mentors emphasized design thinking, prototype development, and sustainable innovation practices.
During the 15-day mentorship, participants engaged in hands-on sessions, brainstorming activities, and prototype demonstrations supported by resource persons from DCE. Guidance was provided on developing market-relevant solutions using modern technologies. The event began with an inaugural session on 13th October, highlighting India’s growing innovation ecosystem and the vital role of youth in advancing national progress through technology.
Prof. Pooja Sharma and Prof. (Dr.) Deepak, in collaboration with school teams, refined project ideas in domains such as smart cities, clean energy, waste management, digital education, and healthcare innovation. They conducted mini workshops, provided technical insights, and supported teams in developing functional prototypes. This collaboration enhanced students’ problem-solving capabilities and strengthened the mentor-mentee bond, promoting peer learning and community-driven innovation.
The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 stands as a celebration of innovation and mentorship, exemplifying how guided learning can empower young innovators. The initiative provided an enriching experience for all participants, reinforcing the values of creative thinking, leadership, and social responsibility in shaping the nation’s future.
