World Food Day 2025
Community Outreach and Food Distribution Drive
16th October 2025
NSS Units of Dronacharya College of Engineering (DCE), Gurugram organized a Community Outreach and Food Distribution Drive on 16th October 2025 to mark World Food Day 2025, coordinated by Dr. Anupam Dalal, who guided the volunteers throughout the initiative.
The primary objective of the drive was to emphasize the importance of access to healthy and nutritious food for all, especially the underprivileged, while spreading awareness about sustainable living and global solidarity. The NSS volunteers distributed thoughtfully prepared packages containing fresh fruits and other healthy, perishable items to promote the idea of nutritious eating habits over processed foods. The activity was conducted across various community areas in Farrukhnagar, ensuring that the benefits reached those who needed them the most.
Throughout the event, the NSS volunteers of DCE displayed exceptional dedication, empathy, and teamwork. They not only distributed food but also interacted with the community members to spread the message of “Hand in Hand for a Better Future.” This interaction went beyond physical assistance, fostering a sense of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility. The enthusiasm of the volunteers and the gratitude of the community created an atmosphere of mutual respect and positivity, reinforcing the idea that small acts of kindness can bring about meaningful social change.
In conclusion, the World Food Day observation by the NSS Unit of DCE truly embodied the spirit of the NSS motto, “Not Me But You.” The initiative served as a reminder that collective efforts and compassion are key to creating a more equitable and nourished society. The event not only addressed immediate food needs but also inspired both students and community members to work together for a sustainable future.
