Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, radiated immense joy and enthusiasm as it hosted its much-awaited Freshers’ Welcome Programme “DRONAAGMAN 2025” on 4th October 2025. The grand celebration warmly embraced the 28th Batch of budding engineers, marking the beginning of their academic and professional journey. With the vibrant theme “Desi Swag,” the event beautifully blended cultural richness with youthful exuberance, making it one of the most unforgettable celebrations of the year.
The festivities commenced at 9:30 AM with a cheerful welcome of the freshers near the stage area. Dressed in colorful ethnic attire reflecting the Desi Swag theme, the students filled the campus with smiles, laughter, and excitement. The dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Chairman Dr. Satish Yadav and Ms. Kailash Yadav (Chief Guest), Director, Principal, Registrar, HODs, and faculty members, graced the occasion at 10:00 AM. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp accompanied by Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing wisdom and positivity.
In her inspiring Welcome Address, Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Isha Malhotra, encouraged students to pursue excellence through discipline, creativity, and innovation. Mr. & Ms. Fresher competition commenced with the Introduction Round, where participants showcased confidence and charm, followed by a mesmerizing Bollywood dance by senior students. A proud moment followed as GSOC and Smart India Hackathon achievers were felicitated for their exemplary accomplishments.
Chairman, Dr. Satish Yadav, in his motivating address, urged students to be visionaries, innovators, and responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to national progress. The subsequent Talent and Q&A rounds of the Mr. & Ms. Fresher contest displayed exceptional talent, intelligence, and spontaneity.
The event also featured a Faculty Felicitation Ceremony, celebrating the dedication, guidance, and academic excellence of teachers. Faculty members were honored with tokens of appreciation for their outstanding results and UGC NET achievements. The celebration culminated in a lively Punjabi dance and DJ session, filling the campus with rhythm, joy, and enthusiasm. Students danced wholeheartedly, and the day concluded with a delightful lunch, laughter, and moments of togetherness that made the occasion truly memorable.
The Chief Guest and dignitaries were presented with Tokens of Appreciation. Prof. Pooja Sharma, Chief Coordinator, delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone involved.
