Alfaaz-e-Expressions 2025
17th October 2025
Ink Sphere - The Literary Club of Dronacharya College of Engineering, under the aegis of Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, successfully organized Alfaaz-e-Expressions on 17th October 2025, a bilingual poetry recitation competition designed to celebrate creativity, linguistic expression, and the art of poetic performance. The competition invited students to present their original poems in English or Hindi, emphasizing authenticity, creativity, and emotional depth. By offering a vibrant platform for budding writers, the event encouraged students to express their thoughts through the rhythmic and expressive power of words.
To maintain fairness and encourage genuine creativity, participants were required to recite only their own compositions. Performances were evaluated based on three key criteria—Content (10 marks), Creativity (10 marks), and Diction & Expression (10 marks). The event began with a brief introduction to InkSphere and the purpose of Alfaaz-e-Expressions, after which students from various departments enthusiastically showcased poems on diverse themes ranging from nature and emotions to introspection and social concerns. Their expressive performances held the audience’s attention, making the competition an enriching literary experience. The competition was evaluated by Prof. Rajesh Matto and Prof. Pooja Sharma, Head of the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities.
After a careful assessment of all performances, the judges declared the winners. Ranak Dagar secured the First Prize with an impressive score of 23, followed by Sneha with 21 marks, who received the Second Prize. Parth earned the Third Prize with 18 marks. Consolation prizes were awarded to Rahul, Saksham, and Abhishek, each scoring 16 marks. Their performances were acknowledged for their creativity and expressive delivery.
Alfaaz-e-Expressions concluded on a warm and encouraging note with the announcement of results, distribution of certificates, and a vote of thanks to all participants, judges, and faculty members. The event successfully fostered creativity, confidence, and linguistic flair among students. InkSphere conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities for their continuous support, which played a vital role in making the event a meaningful and memorable celebration of poetry and expression.
