National Innovation Day Celebration

NSS Units of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, under the guidance of Dr. Anupam Dalal (NSS Programme Officer) celebrated National Innovation Day on 15th October, 2025, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam—the “Missile Man of India” and one of the nation’s most respected scientists and visionaries. The celebration aimed to pay tribute to his extraordinary contributions to science, technology, and education while inspiring students to embrace creativity, research, and innovation for societal advancement.
The program, coordinated by Dr. Anupam Dalal (NSS Programme Officer) began with an introductory session highlighting Dr. Kalam’s inspiring journey—from his humble beginnings to becoming India’s 11th President and a global symbol of knowledge, integrity, and humility. His lifelong vision of transforming India into a developed nation through innovation and youth empowerment served as the foundation of the celebration.
A special lecture session followed, where students presented insights into Dr. Kalam’s scientific achievements, inventions, and his unwavering faith in the potential of young minds. Discussions emphasized the significance of creativity, research, and technological innovation as key drivers of national development. Students actively participated by sharing innovative ideas and expressing how technology-driven solutions can address real-world problems and promote sustainability.
To further promote innovation, students showcased and exchanged their project ideas with the Programme Officer and faculty members. Their concepts, ranging from technological advancements to environmental and social welfare innovations, reflected curiosity, teamwork, and forward-thinking.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by Dr. Anupam Dalal, who urged students to carry forward Dr. Kalam’s legacy by combining knowledge with imagination and contributing meaningfully to the nation. The celebration served as a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Kalam, successfully kindling the spirit of innovation among students and motivating them to become creative leaders in India’s journey toward progress and excellence.
