Workshop on Robotics

SAE Collegiate Club, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in association with APTRON Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram organized one day workshop on Robotics on 7th April 2017. Mr. Parvej Alam - (Robotics Trainer) was accompanied by Mr. Mainak Uprety (Branch Head) of Aptron Solution were the resource person in the workshop. Students of 3rd year Mechanical Department attended the workshop.

The main objective of workshop was to motivate the students to participate in Robotics competition and choosing career in robotics and automation field.

Mr. Parvej Alam started the session with the introduction to Robots. He told robotics is the science of designing or building an application of robots. The basics of technologies used in robots such as sensors, PLC and embedded systems and coding was also introduced to the students.

Mr. Alam also explained the types of Robots. There are Mobile Robots, Stationary Robots, Autonomous Robot, Remote – Controlled Robot. He also discussed with the students the advantages and disadvantages  of Robot.
