Techsurge and Mridaang
Technical and Cultural fest

V. Sai Anila (18562) student of Information Technology Department from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a technical and cultural fest “Techsurge and Mridaang” organized by Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology(MAIT), New Delhi from 6th - 8th April,2017.
Techsurge brings to fore a wide array of talent skill from across 100+ colleges from all across India. With fierce competition among students, display of cutting edge technology and workshop to sharpen their skills.
The events at Techsurge were: Plan-o-Pitch, LAN gaming, Coding Junction, Photo Log, Robo Race and Quiz Up.
DCE Student attended various workshops and seminars in Techsurge like web Development and Think Quick. The topic was IOT (Internet of Things). The seminar was conducted by Prof. Mohan Kumar of MAIT. Internet of Things (IoT) is a new revolution of the Internet. Internet of Things (IoT) is can be said the expansion of internet services. It provides a platform for communication between objects where objects can organize and manage themselves. It makes objects themselves recognizable. The internet of things allows everyone to be connected anytime and anywhere. Objects can be communicated between each other by using radio frequency identification (RFID), wireless sensor network (WSN), Zigbee, etc. Radio Frequency identification assigns a unique identification to the object.
There was also a skit (Nukkad Naatak) on ‘Women Empowerment’ by the students of MAIT. It was a well performed and an insightful skit.
It was performed as part of ‘Naari Shakti’ campaign organized by the women and child welfare government. The students later also spoke about the importance of women empowerment and its impact on people.
It was a brilliant event with enthusiastic participation from people as events ranging from technical, literary, cultural and sports.
