Award Ceremony for InterThrone Iot Competition

InterThrone is the first IoT idea contest conducted at the national level to create a platform for budding and existing entrepreneurs to setup and grow their IoT business in India. InterThrone aims at developing the IoT ecosystem in India which would eventually help startups in every possible way.
Three students namely Aishwarya Aggrawal (17008), Prachi (17182) and Saurabh Kumar (17129) of CSE Department along with faculty Mrs. Renu Narwal, Assistant Professor from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon awarded as runner up and prize of Rs. 1 lakh on 26th September 2017 in the category “Automotive/Public transport” for their project entitled Anti Collision System – INNOTECH in the competition Interthrone - 2017.
The award ceremony took place in Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT), Mumbai. Mr. Juergen Hase - CEO, Unlimit Powered by Reliance began the ceremony with the presentation on the InterThrone. He presented how InterThrone came to the existence sitting in a room with four persons. Also he stated the journey of one year InterThrone competition. After the introduction of IntrerThrone, the principal of college SPIT, Dr. Prachi Gharpure addressed the audience and encouraged the entrepreneurship in her speech and focused the fact searching the customer for the startup is as much important as the idea is. Ms. Kavya Dommeti, Director, iBuild Innovations India Ltd then explained how the IOT will rule the upcoming IT world and today how much important the IOT is. She explained the core needs of IOT and applications in the future. According to her, in developing countries like India it is very challenging to take up the initiative and start any work.
The presentation of all the winning teams was given by the team members on by one according to the category. The awards were given accordingly to the winners. Along with the trophy, they received prize money. There, each and every team explained their project or idea in front of jury. After the presentation and award distribution to all six winning teams, the Principal (SPIT) Dr. Prachi Gharpure introduced all the coordinators and awarded all the coordinators an appreciation letter for their hard work and dedication to make the one year competition a success.
It was a proud moment for the college and a great learning experience for the students under the competition.
