The Angular Day Session
3rd September, 2017
Microsoft Student Partners Kanika Saluja (18077), Mandeep Singh (18091), Nitin Manocha (18110) from MIC, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended an event, “The Angular Day” on 3rd September 2017 at Microsoft Office, Gurgaon. The speaker of the session was Mr. Dhananjay Kumar, Developer Evangelist at Infragistics, Microsoft.
The main objective of the session was to throw light on the JavaScript and Angular.
The event Angular day was conducted by Microsoft Technical Community, NCR. There were around 150 students from various colleges attended the session.
The workshop started with the introduction to JavaScript often abbreviated as JS. JS is a high-level, dynamic, weakly typed, object-based, multi-paradigm, and interpreted programming language. JavaScript is one of the three core technologies of World Wide Web content production. It is used to make webpages interactive and provide online programs, including video games. The majority of websites employ it, and all modern web browsers support it without the need for plug-ins by means of a built-in JavaScript engine.
A brief introduction to HTML and CSS was also given. Then Angular was explained. Angular (commonly referred to as "Angular 2+" or "Angular 2") is a TypeScript-based open-source front-end web application platform led by the Angular Team at Google and by a community of individuals and corporations to address all of the parts of the developer's workflow while building complex web applications. Angular is a complete rewrite from the same team that built AngularJS.
Students were taught how to work and use Node.js and Visual Studio code.
The session was concluded by a motivating speech of 15 minutes by Mr. Dhananjay Kumar. He encouraged students to work hard and achieve more in life. He asked every student to write the challenges they face on a paper and then resolve it and excel in their lives. The session was very interactive and inducing.
