National Creativity Aptitude Test

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon�conducted 1st round of�National Creativity Aptitude Test (NCAT)�on27th February, 2016�at college campus. NCAT is an aptitude test organized by�IIT Delhi�in association with�International Forum for Excellence in Higher Education (IFEHE).
A total of�125 students�from 5 branches - Electronics and Computer Engineering (ECS), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) appeared for the exam. Five students�Akshit Kholi (11408), Hari Om (11449), Umesh Chandra (11504), Nitigya Grover (11592)�and�Nitish Rawat (11591)�qualified for the 2nd round.
The main objective of NCAT Exam was to evaluate the innovative abilities in scholars and to inspire them for a greater accomplishment in life. Students from all branches appeared in the test with great passion. NCAT helps students to know their level of knowledge, skills and abilities and helps the corporates to hire the candidate in a well scaled and consistent manner.
Prof. (Dr.) B M K Prasad, Principal, DCE�delivered the welcome address and explained that NCAT exams assess the originality of scholars and their level for accomplishment. He added that through this test, the learners get their imaginative skills sharpened and get inspiration to learn. Students likewise draw strength from this mechanism to mold their future.
The NCAT is open for students of engineering, management and science streams in institutes of higher education enrolled in graduate and post-graduate courses. For students in different years of their degree courses there are separate tests in which their creative thinking and logical reasoning abilities are tested. The test was conducted in two phases.
Round 1:�It was conducted at the college end and two top performing students of each year from each college from round 1 qualified for the next round.
Round 2:�It will be conducted on�12th June 2016�at Delhi. Apart from MCQs, there will be subjective questions on creativity and an activity to assess the motivation towards achievements of the student.
