Visit to Om Shanti Retreat Centre

NSS volunteers of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon visited the Om Shanti Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumari’s (ORC) at Bhorakalan, Gurgaon on 21st February 2017.
The Om Shanti Retreat Centre (ORC), is a unique learning centre of the Brahma Kumaris, that provides higher education in the art of living as well as training. It was inaugurated by the then Honorable President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, on 19th April, 2003.
All the volunteers were welcomed by sister Divya. She explained about Brahma Kumari and meaning of OM in detail.
Later sister Rajani took a lecture on Ego and Anger Management. In her lecture she explained how to control ones anger and ego through meditation.
Next, students visited the Spiritual Art Gallery where they had been demonstrated life size models and paintings depicting ancient Indian culture and explaining the various spiritual principles governing our life. The models of various India dynasties and scenes of the golden age have been skillfully created by artists from Orissa and West Bengal to give a very pleasant experience.
It was a nice experience visiting the campus and sharing the views with the eminent personalities residing there.
