A Session on IEO (Indian Engineering Olympiad) 2017

Mr. Vikash Bhartiya, Zonal Manager, Gateforum, visited Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram to make students aware about "Indian Engineering Olympiad (IEO - 2017)" on 3rd February 2017. He interacted with the 4th and 6th semester students of CSE Department.
Indian Engineering Olympiad (IEO), organized by Think Cell Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd., is a pan - India exam that offers a real test of engineering aptitude for the engineering students in their respective fields on a national platform. Over 1, 80,000 students, including several from the best of the engineering colleges across the country are expected to register for the second edition of the exam this year to pit their skills against each other. In the debut edition, IEO (2016) was a first of its kind exam conducted across 104 centers in India. It was a grand success with nearly 1,52,000 students registering for the exam from the 2nd, 3rd & 4th year of engineering across various streams IEO is a 90 - minute exam that will test aptitude and technical knowledge of engineering students studying in 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of engineering in their respective stream. The winners in each stream will be rewarded with medals, financial scholarships and excellence certificate. There are also awards for colleges for best performance.
Mr. Vikash explained students about IEO and how IEO can help engineering students during placements and in higher Education. It is a free exam for 2nd , 3rd and 4th year engineering students. Top 45 Students from each branch will get Medal and Excellence certificate. A Merit certificate will also be given to top 1500 students from each branch. Financial Scholarship is also present for the toppers who want to do higher studies.
Mr. Vikash provided students of DCE the opportunity for offline registration. He provided a form in which students were required to fill their basic information for registration and he ensured that using the information; he will enroll all the students for the Olympiad.
Many students from 4th and 6th semester grabbed the opportunity and got themselves enrolled for the Olympiad.
