CSI STATE STUDENT CONVENTION (SSC - 2016)
10th - 11th March 2016
CSI Student Chapter, Dronacharya College of Engineering organized the “CSI State Student Convention (SSC - 2016)”on 10th – 11th March’16. The theme for the Convention was "Technical Empowerment through IT". Ms Priyanka Mahani, CSI Head, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was the coordinator for the event.
The Computer Society of India (CSI) is the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational, directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of Computer Science and IT.
The State Student Convention was organized with an aim to bring together budding engineers, developers, and practitioners of Delhi - NCR and its surrounding states. SSC 2016 was an opportunity for students to develop their skills as engineers and to give them an opportunity to showcase their talent.
The guests present during the Opening Ceremony of SSC were: Mr Akhil Choudhary, Keynote Speaker, CEO, Binary Semantics; Prof. (Dr.) Karanjit Singh, Principal, DCE, Gurgaon; Prof. (Dr.) Jitender Kumar, Academic Administrator,DCE, Gurgaon. Honorable Principal, Dr. Karanjit Singh welcomed the eminent guests during the Opening Ceremony with bouquets and mementos. He briefed the gathering about the purpose of the convention and the importance of such activities in an academic institution. The Keynote Speaker, Mr. Akhil Choudhary, talked about the theme of the Student Convention - Technical Empowerment through IT. He focused on individual meanings of all words and went on to talk about real life experiences which were very well emphasized how the youth of today is really becoming empowered by the proper usage of IT.
It was followed by a short teaser that showcased the events lined up for the SSC - 2016. The following Events were conducted during SSC 2016.

The various events were organized with the aim to give a platform to students for exploring their technical knowledge and expertise along with fun and frolic at State Level. Overall the two days of SSC - 2016 were packed with lot of technical activities and excitement for students.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Priyanka Mahani, CSI head.
