Eight students Nitin Manocha (18110), Kanika Saluja (18077), Mandeep Singh (18091), Neha Kumari (18104), Prakriti (18117), Vertika Shukla(18181), Sanatan Jha (17127) and Anikete Bajaj (17511) of Computer Science & Information Technology Department have been selected as Microsoft Student Partners (MSP) from the Microsoft Innovation Center, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon.
Microsoft Corporation is a multinational technology company headquartered in Redmond, Washington. The Microsoft Student Partners is a worldwide recognizable program to sponsor students. MSP program aims to enhance student employability and increase student awareness of Microsoft Technologies. MSP is a drive student outreach and learning initiatives by hosting activities like workshops, boot camps etc. Student Partners are given access to the latest Microsoft software, development tools, reference material, industry events, and training opportunities.
The selection was based on academic performance, extracurricular performance and creativity.
Microsoft Student Partners have strong understanding of the overall set of Microsoft Visual along with specific demonstrable skills in one or more languages or technologies. They also master the latest technical content provided by Microsoft Imagine, building leadership and communication skills along with technical expertise and seek out new technologies, explore them, and share the experience and knowledge gained with fellow students. MSP’s are actively involved in student technical clubs, events, preferably in leadership roles.
Various things done by Microsoft Student Partners: Organise on campus workshops, Host technical events and give demonstration on different technologies, Attend Microsoft training events to learn the latest technologies.
The initiative by Microsoft helps students to enhance their skill sets, improve their overall personality and built their confidence along with enriching their practical knowledge.
This will prove as a great opportunity for the students as they would expose them to various environments and different people from various parts of the country.
