Inauguration of Cybersecurity Club

CSE (IoT and Cyber Security) Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized the Inauguration Ceremony of the “Cybersecurity Club” on 22nd February 2025. The event witnessed active participation from the 6th-semester students of the IoT and Cyber Security branch, along with club members and faculty members. The objective of the Cybersecurity Club is to foster awareness, skill development, and knowledge-sharing in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. The Faculty coordinator of the event was Ms. Jyoti Yadav (Faculty- DCE). Aakash Sharma (25421, CSE-IoT, 6th Sem) Shaurya Verma (25475, CSE-IoT, 6th Sem) were the student coordinators.
The inauguration ceremony along with a one-hour session on cyber security was conducted by Mr. Shubham Taneja (Assistant Manager, Deloitte) and Mr. Aneesh Malik (Cyber Security Consultant, EY.)
Mr. Shubham Taneja highlighted the various possibilities and opportunities in the field of cyber security. He elaborated on the structured roadmap for aspiring cybersecurity professionals, guiding students on how to build their knowledge base, gain hands-on experience, and enter the field successfully. He focused on the industry oriented approach and the levels of certifications required for cyber security.
Mr. Aneesh Malik highlighted the non-technical background and opportunities present in the field for students and professionals to thrive in the field while having a non-technical background. It was a very interactive session where in students cleared all the doubts and skills required to become successful in the field of cyber security.
The inauguration of the Cybersecurity Club marks the beginning of an exciting journey for students interested in exploring and excelling in cybersecurity. The club aims to organize workshops, hands-on training sessions, hackathons, and industry interactions in the coming months, equipping students with practical knowledge and real-world problem-solving skills in cybersecurity.
