National Science Day Celebration

NSS Units, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, celebrated National Science Day with enthusiasm and fervor on 28th February 2025. The theme of the celebration was “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for # Viksit Bharat” inspired by Honorable PM Narender Modi’s vision NSD2025.
The event aimed to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman and to inspire students to pursue scientific inquiry and innovation. The event witnessed the active participation of students, faculty members, and staff, fostering a spirit of scientific curiosity.
Dr. Neha Mathur (Scientist and Researcher), delivered an inspiring lecture on the latest advancements. She emphasized the importance of scientific research in addressing contemporary challenges and encouraged students to pursue careers in Science and Technology.
Dr. Anupam Dalal, deeply associated with the NSS Units, shared her insightful thoughts on the importance of Science and its integration with social responsibility. She highlighted the role of NSS volunteers in promoting scientific awareness and applying scientific knowledge to solve community problems.
Representatives from the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department also contributed their perspectives, shared their experiences and insights related to advancements in the field. The event also included interactive sessions where students were engaged in discussions with the speakers and faculty members, fostering a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
A formal vote of thanks was delivered by NSS representative, expressing gratitude to the speakers, participants, and organizers for their contributions.
Benefits/Outcome: Inspired future generations of scientists and encouraged students to develop a scientific mindset and pursue scientific inquiry. The event provided a forum for experts and students to share their knowledge and insights.
