Yamuna Clean-Up Drive 2025

NSS Units, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in collaboration with Sri Aurobindo College & Acharya Narendra Dev College, actively participated in the Yamuna Clean-Up Drive 2025 under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative held at KalindiKunj Ghat, Delhi, the event raised awareness about river conservation and environmental responsibility. Students engaged in sessions, performances, and the cleanliness drive, demonstrating teamwork, community service, and a commitment to sustainable practices while understanding the importance of collective efforts for ecological preservation.
The program began with an Awareness Session from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, emphasizing the ecological importance of the Yamuna River and the urgent need to prevent pollution. This was followed by a Nukkad Natak, which effectively conveyed messages on water conservation and responsible usage of natural resources. The central activity of the drive, the Cleanliness Session from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, saw students and volunteers collaboratively cleaning the river ghats, segregating waste, and collecting plastic and other debris. The event concluded with refreshments and a Vote of Thanks to acknowledge the efforts of all participants and organizers.
Second-year students of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram including Akash Nandy, Aaditya Asthana, Aditya Tiwari, Dev Sahu, and Garvit Sahni from AIML-1, actively contributed throughout the drive. Their participation reflected strong teamwork, social responsibility, and genuine concern for environmental sustainability.
Key highlights of the event included the awareness session’s emphasis on ecosystem preservation, the impactful street play promoting water conservation, and the collaborative cleanliness drive that strengthened community service values among youth.
In conclusion, the Yamuna Clean-Up Drive 2025 provided students with a hands-on experience in environmental conservation, reinforcing the significance of collective action in tackling ecological challenges. The college extends sincere gratitude to the UBA team, and all volunteers for their support, guidance, and motivation. The drive not only enhanced students’ understanding of sustainability but also inspired them to uphold the principles of environmental protection and responsible living in their future endeavors, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.
