Educational Visit to Akashvani Bhawan

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Khentawas, Gurugram, attended a remarkable cultural presentation organized by Akashvani Delhi at the Akashvani Rang Bhavan Auditorium, Sansad Marg, New Delhi, on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, on 24th September 2025. The event featured a captivating performance of the literary classic “Ram Ki Shakti Puja” written by the celebrated Hindi poet Suryakant Tripathi ‘Nirala’. The program began at 3:00 PM and beautifully combined literature, spirituality, and the performing arts to convey a profound message of faith, perseverance, and inner strength and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 65 students, accompanied by Dr. Sandeep RajandProf. Urvashi Bakshi.
The highlight of the event was a captivating dance drama (NrityaNatika), choreographed and directed by Smt. Shalina Chaturvedi, an eminent Kathak artist and scholar. The performance beautifully blended elements of classical dance, soulful music, and expressive narration to bring out the profound emotional and spiritual essence of Nirala’s“Ram Ki Shakti Puja.” It depicted Lord Rama’s devotion to Goddess Durga before his battle with Ravana, symbolizing the awakening of divine strength and inner courage to face life’s challenges. The graceful dance movements, devotional gestures, and artistic presentation created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The presentation highlighted the importance of invoking Goddess Durga’s divine power and its symbolic connection to victory through faith and courage. It showcased the beauty of Kathak as a medium of storytelling, devotion, and expression, while emphasizing how traditional art forms continue to remain relevant in modern times.
By attending this event, students gained valuable insights into literary appreciation, Indian culture, and the integration of art with spirituality. They learned how classical literature can be interpreted through performing arts and how values such as determination, faith, and resilience are deeply rooted in Indian heritage. Overall, the program served as an enriching educational experience, inspiring students to draw strength and motivation from India’s cultural and literary traditions.
