Industrial Visit - TASA Automotive Components
5th September 2025
SAE India Collegiate Club organized an Industrial Visit for Mechanical Engineering students from III Semester of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram to TASA Automotive Components, Manesar, Haryana, on 5th September 2025, coordinated by Mr. Yudhveer Kumar Verma (Assistant Professor) ME Department.
The visit was aimed at providing students with practical exposure to industrial operations and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. The main objectives were to understand modern manufacturing and machining processes, observe quality control and safety practices, and gain insight into professional workflow management.
During the visit, students explored CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly processes, gaining firsthand insight into how classroom concepts are implemented in real industrial settings. The experience emphasized the importance of quality assurance, efficient workflow, and strict adherence to safety protocols for smooth and high-standard production. Additionally, students engaged with industry professionals, who shared valuable knowledge on career opportunities, industry expectations, and emerging trends in the automotive components sector.
These interactions helped students recognize the practical skills needed to succeed in the industry and encouraged them to align their learning with real-world applications. The visit proved to be both educational and inspiring, allowing students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, enhance their understanding of industrial operations, and cultivate industry-relevant skills.
Overall, the experience highlighted the value of hands-on exposure in developing competent mechanical engineers and prepared students to confidently face future challenges while pursuing careers in manufacturing and automotive engineering, significantly boosting their professional readiness and practical knowledge.
