Workshop On "PLC"

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a hands-on workshop on "PLC" on 27th March, 2023. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Manish Jain, Director -Power Profit Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Sanchit Chauhan (Lead Customer success -Power Profit Technologies Pvt. Ltd.) VI Semester students of ECE, EEE and R&A branch of the college attended the workshop.
The workshop introduced students the concept of PLC ladder programming and provided hands-on experience of making real-time changes in ladder diagram to obtain desired result. During the introductory session, students learned creating a ladder diagram of Digital logic gates on Mitsubishi FX500 series Programmable logic controller.
Later, students tested the designed circuit on a test setup which consisted of PLC, Relay module, Rail mountings, SMPS power supply and Output.
The workshop upskilled the attendees on Automation and PLC skillset which is amongst the most prominent skill in Electrical, Electronics and Robotics since PLC acts as a brain of system used to monitor and control equipment based on custom programming.
