Visit to Science Conclave & Agro-Tech Expo 2023

Rural Development through Science & Technology for "Aatmanirbhar Bharat"

15th - 16th March 2023

Dr. Shipra Arora (Associate Professor, CSE9 AIML) along with 59 students of B.tech first year, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended the two days Science Conclave & Agro-Tech Expo 2023 on 16^th March 2023 at Gurugram University, Gurugram. 

The Gurugram University and CSIR- National Institute of Science Communication & Policy Research, New Delhi, DST Haryana jointly organized two days Tech Expo 2023 on 15^th - 16^th March 2023. 

The program started with invited talk by Prof. (Dr.) Bhagwan Singh Chaudhary. He emphasized how science & technology is used for the advancement of the society. He explained, India launched Rocket in 1972 for the first time and in 2017, with advancement of technology, India has launched 104 satellites together in a mission and conquered world record. He also told about INSAT family.

Mr. Vishal Muliya, Scientoon Maker, showed various scientoon to cherish science. He said, Scientoon is the gift to the world from India.

Dr. A.K.Sharma presented a talk on “Potential of Medicinal Plants for Sustainable Rural Development & Aatamnirbhar Bharat”. He gave an insight through medicinal plants for Sustainable Rural Development.

Prof. (Dr.) Deepak Sharma presented a talk on “Biological Responses of Brain to the Process of Ageing epileptogenesis & antioxidant compounds”. He elaborated how science improves personality. He said, science provides an opportunity to improve brain power and mental health. He emphasized, science is a subject of perfection, integration and refinement. Everyone should empower his/her brain to develop new technologies for the benefit of society.

Program ended with a vote of thanks. The program was inspiring and motivating for the students.
