Annual Sports Meet
30th March - 1st April 2023
Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized 25th Annual Sports Meet from 30th March - 1st April, 2023. The chief guest of the event was Captain Manjula Katoch. The commentator of the event was Mr. Sahil (Roll no. 24368, CSIT – 4th Semester) and the anchors were Ms. Lakshita Manie (Roll. No. 23082, CSE – 6th Semester) and Ms. Akanksha Parijat (Roll no. 23402, IT – 6th Semester)
The sports meet was declared open by Dr. Ashok Kumar (Sports Coordinator). Dr. Ashok welcomed Captain Manjula. She motivated the participants through an enlightened speech on need of sports for physical fitness.
Various indoor and outdoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Football, 100- Meter race, Chess, etc. were played during the three-day long event. Students showed exceptional performance during the events. Initially, the Knock-out rounds of all the games were played.
The spectators were highly delighted to see the enthusiasm and spirit of sportsmanship among the students and praised everyone for depicting the true meaning of sportsmanship. Dr. Ashok Kumar (Sports coordinator) thanked the entire DCE family for their cooperation and active participation in the events which made it a great success. Lastly, the chief guest gave away tantalizing trophies and Medals to the winners.
