InkSphere - The Literary Club of Dronacharya College of Engineeringorganized an insightful workshop titled Resume Ready: Shape Your Story for Success on 14th November 2025 under the guidance of the Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities. The session was conducted by Dr. Amita Bhati, Faculty Coordinator of InkSphere – The Literary Club. The event aimed to equip students with essential resume-building skills to help them create impactful, professional, and recruiter-friendly resumes
The workshop was graced by the presence of Principal Ma’am, Dr. Isha Malhotra, who addressed the students with her inspiring words. She emphasized the significance of a well-crafted resume as an essential tool for making a strong first impression in professional settings. The event also witnessed the presence of Dr. Nimisha and Ms. Madhu Malhotra, who interacted with participants and highlighted the importance of communication and presentation skills in career development.
As the resource person, Dr. Amita Bhatioffered valuable insights into the essential components of an effective resume. Her practical approach, combined with academic and industry perspectives, helped students gain a deeper understanding of resume-building. She guided them through crucial aspects such as clarity, structure, layout, and making a resume recruiter friendly. She also explained how to craft impactful achievement statements and showcase technical, academic, and soft skills effectively. Additionally, the speaker introduced participants to the basics of building a strong LinkedIn profile and aligning resume content with one’s professional identity.
A major highlight of the workshop was the live resume refinement activity, where students brought their draft resumes for real-time review. Dr. Bhati offered personalized suggestions, helping participants identify areas of improvement and refine their resumes to make them more appealing and industry ready. This interactive segment encouraged active student engagement, as participants from various departments enthusiastically took part in discussions, asked questions, and implemented real-time corrections under expert guidance.
The workshop proved to be highly beneficial, significantly enhancing students’ understanding of resume aesthetics, content flow, and professional presentation. It boosted their confidence in showcasing their achievements effectively and prepared them for upcoming internships and placement opportunities.Students left the session with improved clarity on how to strategically shape their resumes to stand out in competitive recruitment processes.
