Participation in National Integration Camp (NIC) 2025

4th - 10th November 2025

Three NSS volunteers of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, — Priyanshu (B.Tech, AIML), Jyoti (B.Tech, CSE), and Kartikey (B.Tech, AIML) - attended the National Integration Camp (NIC) 2025, held at MaharshiDayanand University, Rohtak, from 4th to 10th November 2025. The National Integration Camp, organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, under the Regional Directorate of NSS, Haryana, aimed to foster national integration, cultural harmony, leadership, and social responsibility among young volunteers across the country.

Throughout the week-long camp, volunteers participated in a wide range of academic, cultural, and community-oriented activities centered on the themes “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,” “MeraYuva Bharat,” “Viksit Bharat,” and “Yuva Shakti.” The sessions included expert lectures, interactive workshops, cultural exchanges, and social service initiatives. Prominent speakers such as Mr. Krishan Kumar Gupta (First and Founding Volunteer of NSS), Sh. Charan Singh (Deputy Superintendent of Prison), and NSS National Awardees Ms. Neha Gulia and Ms. Niharika inspired the participants through insightful discussions on national development, youth empowerment, and civic engagement.

The DCE volunteers brought pride to the institution through their active participation and commendable achievements. Priyanshu and Jyoti received Gold Medals for their exemplary contribution to the Blood Donation Camp, reflecting their commitment to social service. Additionally, Priyanshu secured Bronze Medals in Group Dance and Tug of War, showcasing both creativity and teamwork. All three volunteers were honored with Certificates of Participation, along with a Certificate of Merit for the Group Dance event.

A major highlight of the camp was the evening cultural event, “DeshKe Rang Ek Sang,” which featured captivating performances representing various states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry, and Tamil Nadu. The cultural exchange activities beautifully portrayed India’s diversity and strengthened the spirit of national unity among volunteers.

The camp also emphasized fitness, teamwork, and creativity through activities such as Yoga/Surya Namaskar, Rope Skipping, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Poetry, Solo Singing, and Tug of War. Integration events like PrabhatPheri (morning march), Campus Parade in traditional attire, a visit to Tilyar Lake, and the concluding Prize Distribution Ceremony themed “Yuva Shakti” added vibrancy to the experience.

The participation and accomplishments of DCE’s NSS volunteers in NIC 2025, not only enhanced the volunteers’ leadership and teamwork abilities but also deepened their appreciation for India’s cultural diversity and collective identity.
