Participation in National Integration Camp (NIC) 2025

Dronacharya College of Engineering (DCE), Gurugram, actively participated in the National Integration Camp (NIC) organized by Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, from 11th -17th November. The camp, themed “Youth for My Bharat and Youth for Digital Literacy,” brought together over 200 NSS volunteers, Programme Officers, and dignitaries from 17 states across India. DCE’s participation reinforced the college’s commitment to national integration, social service, and youth empowerment.
The camp commenced on 11thNovember with registration, a Hawan ceremony, and an inspiring inaugural session. Volunteers from various states, including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Assam, and Jammu & Kashmir, gathered with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Kurukshetra University, Prof. Somnath Sachdeva, along with Prof. A.R. Chaudhri, Dean, Student Welfare, and other dignitaries. The lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana marked the auspicious beginning, followed by vibrant cultural performances showcasing India’s diverse heritage.
Throughout the week, DCE volunteers actively participated in a variety of intellectually stimulating and culturally enriching activities. Thesecond day featured a morning yoga session, a poetry recitation competition, and a keynote address by Dr. Pritam Singh, emphasizing the theme of national integration and the distinction between “Bharat” and “My Bharat.” Lt. Dr. Virender Pal also addressed the volunteers, highlighting the importance of NSS in fostering unity and service. Cultural evenings featured performances from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and other states, blending traditional and modern art forms.
The subsequent days involved creative competitions such as slogan writing, poster-making, declamation contests, group activities, and sports events to foster teamwork and leadership. Volunteers celebrated Children’s Day, participated in the Run for Unity commemorating Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and visited the Darohar Museum to learn about Haryana’s cultural heritage. Special sessions included Rangoli presentations, philosophical lectures, and a visit to Jyotisar for a light and sound show depicting the Bhagavad Gita, enriching participants’ cultural and spiritual understanding.
The camp concluded on 17thNovember 2025 with a feedback session, certificate distribution, and cultural performances, followed by addresses from key dignitaries, including Dr. Sushil Kumar Mehta, Shri Manoj Kumar, and Chief Guest Shri Sharwan Ram, emphasizing national service, rural development, and social responsibility.
DCE’s active participation, guided and supported by the college management, played a significant role in fostering the spirit of unity, teamwork, and national integration. The unwavering encouragement and cooperation from the management ensured that all volunteers could engage fully and gain maximum benefit from this memorable and enriching experience.
