Selection of IEEEXtreme Ambassador

Mr. Ambar Kumar (16016), of Computer Science and Engineering Vth Semester, from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon, is selected as IEEEXtreme Ambassador on 18th July 2015. IEEEXtreme (online coding competition) is a 24 hours event, with a worldwide community of college and university students engaging in set of unique programming challenges.
This year the online competition is scheduled for 24th October 2015. Following rules are set for the competition:
1. All participants must be IEEE registered.
2. Participants had to compete as part of a team up to three IEEE student or graduate student members. Teams should only include a maximum of two graduate students per team.
3. Each team had a proctor to supervise during the 24-hour programming competition.
4. Team members must solve and complete the problems without assistance from others.
The main intent of the ambassador is to motivate and help the team members. Being the program ambassador Mr. Ambar Kumar shall have to:
1. Introduce IEEEXtreme to Student Members (Participants) & Professional Members (Proctors) of the College
2. Identify Student branches that are not aware of IEEEXtreme and enable them to participate in the competition.
3. Gather list of professional members who are interested in volunteering for IEEEXtreme as Proctors and connect them with student members who are looking for proctors in order to participate in the competition.
4. Host seminars and drive IEEEXtreme programming competition participation in Universities/Colleges; creating general awareness about the competition.
5. Identify and assist students who require support, guidance or any additional details relevant to IEEEXtreme
6. Enable section to appreciate the top teams with some special recognition or prizes ( if funding is available)
7. Organize workshops and training programs at local section on solving IEEEXtreme Programming Challenges.
