COGNIZANCE 2018

Six students of Nikita Agarwal (CSE – 20099), Satyam Singh Tomar (CSE – 20077), Divyanshu Jangra (CSE – 20050), Tanvi Agarwal (CSE – 20153), Himanshu Jain (CIVIL – 20553) and Sagar Sharma (CIVIL – 20565) of first year, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram participated in COGNIZANCE - 2018, the technical fest of IIT Roorkee on 23rd - 24th March 2018. The theme of the festl was 'Dreaming Discoveries'.
The main objective of the fest was to provide the opportunity to learn about the new inventions and their basic principles.
COGNIZANCE is the conjugation of some of the finest technical minds of the country with a platform to publicize their skills and aim to reach the most successful point of their talents.
The fest included many events, some of their key features are listed below:-
MICROSOFT AZURE WORKSHOP:-
Azure, a massive pool of computer resources created by Microsoft, contains everything ranging from company internal email system to public facing website is provided within Azure cloud.
ETHICAL HACKING & CYBER SECURITY:-
Ethical hacking refers to the act of locating weaknesses and vulnerabilities of computer and information systems by duplicating the intent and actions of malicious hackers. Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing workshop aimed to educate users of digital media of the threats, risks and privacy concerns that go with using them.
RC TRI-COPTER UAV:-
The workshop was designed by engineers and professionals with over five years of experience in the field. Their team consisted of engineers from Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical.
Engineering. The workshop was on applications based Design, Manufacturing, Tuning and Flying a tri-copter.
POWERDRIFT:-
A small wireless remote controlled IC engine driven car was built and it was made in such a way that it would be able to race on concrete as well as off-road tracks.
It was a great learning experience for the students.
