9th Global Education and Skill Summit

Prof. Pooja Khot (Faculty and ICT Incharge) of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended the “9th Global Education and Skill Summit” held on 9th – 10th August 2024 at the Leela Ambience Convention Hotel in Delhi. The summit brought together educators, policymakers and industry leaders to discuss the future of education and skill development in a rapidly changing world. The event was an enlightening experience that provided deep insights into the future of education and skill development.
The summit commenced with an impactful keynote address, where the speaker emphasized the critical need to integrate technology into education. A panel discussion on "The Future of Education" explored the integration of 21st-century skills into modern curricula. The discussion on critical thinking, creativity, and digital literacy was particularly relevant to efforts at DCE to enhance the quality of educational programs.
The workshop on "Digital Transformation in Education" introduced various educational technologies. The hands-on demonstrations were useful for potential application in college’s digital learning initiatives.
The roundtable on "Educational Policy Reforms" provided a global perspective on recent changes aimed at making education more inclusive and aligned with industry needs. An interactive session on "Innovative Teaching Methods" showcased various teaching strategies that engage students actively. The session underscored the importance of diversifying teaching approaches to better cater to students’ learning needs.
The panel on "Public-Private Partnerships in Education" discussed the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and industry. The discussion provided inspiration for potential partnerships that could benefit the college.
The summit concluded with an award ceremony, recognizing outstanding contributions to education and skill development. The summit was a valuable experience that offered practical knowledge and networking opportunities, which aimed to leverage in enhancing the educational standards.
