Motivational Session

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a “Motivational Session” from 20th – 23rd August 2024. Captain Manjula Katoch, an Ex Army-officer, and a Soft Skills Trainer from the Scottish Qualification Authority conducted a 4-day Personality development workshop. The session was designed to enlighten and equip the first-year students with essential skills for their personal and professional growth.
Through a series of engaging activities, she encouraged B. Tech students to explore and enhance their personal and professional skills, fostering greater self-awareness and confidence. Her interactive approach aimed to inspire students and prepare them for future challenges. She said, leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal. It can be an individual or a group of individuals. It is interpersonal influence, exercised in a situation, directed through the communication process towards the attainment of a specified goal. Leaders may be imposed, formally appointed, chosen informally or emerge naturally. It may involve individual functioning, team functioning, task functioning and or a combination of any or all of them.
Students were informed about the importance of body language and how it can become a tool of communication. Exercises were done to manage the time and its importance in life and career.
Captain Manjula Katoch said productivity and efficiency are vital in any workplace. Time Management is the coordination of tasks and activities to maximize the effectiveness of an individual’s efforts, enabling people to get more and better work done in less time. She said - When you have acuity, you're able to be sharp and efficient in your thinking. You are able to understand things quickly and pick up on new concepts, which helps employers save time.
It was a very helpful session for the students and helped the students to enhance their personality.
