Roadmap to Cracking GATE: Strategies and Resources

Computer Science and Engineering Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, organized a session on "Roadmap to Cracking GATE: Strategies and Resources" aimed at preparing 3rd and final-year engineering students for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2020). The session was held on 8th January, 2020 and saw an enthusiastic participation of 97 students. The session was coordinated by Ms. Renu Dua and featured a guest speaker, Mr. Chirag Khurana, a distinguished alumnus from the Batch 2016 (Consultant at HCL Software) was the eminent speaker.
The session began with an introduction by Ms. Renu Dua, who emphasized the significance of the GATE exam for engineering students aspiring for higher studies or jobs in the public sector. Mr. Chirag Khurana, an experienced GATE aspirant himself, shared his journey and the strategies that helped him succeed in the examination.
The speaker focused on providing a comprehensive roadmap to crack GATE, which included effective study strategies, essential resources, and the importance of time management. Mr. Chirag also discussed the various challenges students face while preparing for GATE and how to overcome them.
Mr. Chirag explained the structure of the GATE exam, highlighting the importance of understanding the syllabus and marking scheme. He provided insights into which topics carry more weight and advised students on how to allocate time based on topic difficulty and priority.
The session was an eye-opener for the students, providing them with practical strategies and resources to navigate their GATE preparation successfully. Mr. Chirag’s insights, combined with the guidance from Ms. Renu Dua, gave students a clearer path toward cracking the exam and achieving their career goals.
