Pre-Incubation and Incubation Management
IIC Innovation Ambassador Training Series by IIC & MHRD's Innovation Cell
16th - 17th January 2020
To maintain incubation centre for betterment of different projects undertaken by students of different institutes and provide them with technological and financial aid, two-day IIC Innovation Ambassador Training Series was conducted by Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) & MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC), from 16th -17th January 2020, at LPU. Faculty member, Ishwar Sharma Assistant Professor, ME Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended the “Pre-Incubation and Incubation Management” training series and became the IIC Innovation Ambassador of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram.
Day 1:
The workshop started after lamp lighting ceremony by Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta Executive Dean of Lovely Professional University. Session started with lecture by Mr. Muthu Singaram. He described Incubation Centre. He said a business or start-up incubator is a program managed by corporations, educational institutions or government agencies that provide an environment for startups to develop by providing services such as management training and office space. He told there are some of the government initiatives for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. Government and Private Technical, Management, R&D institutes, organizations / non-profit organization/ corporates / industry association or in PPP mode are encouraged to establish Incubators.
Next session was taken by Mr. Vinay Mehta. He explained the participants how to set up the incubation centre.
Day 2 :
The second day of workshop started with Raghavendra Prasad. He told the major steps that are to be kept under observation before setting up Incubation centre. These include
1. Market Research, 2. Identifying Team & Service Providers, 3. Allocation of Resources, 4. Establishing Interlinks & Intralinks with Industries, 5. Making Programs 6. Lucrative, Choose, Retain & Manage Startups.
In the end conclusion of workshop was given by Mr. Sreedhara R Voleti.
The overall Pre-Incubation and Incubation Management training series proved fruitful for the participants as they learnt many things on incubators.
