Motivational Session: “Unlock your full potential”

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a Motivational Session- “Unlock Your Full Potential” on 21st August 2025, conducted by Captain Manjula Katoch, an Ex-Army Officer and certified Soft Skills Trainer from the Scottish Qualification Authority. This session aimed at equipping first-year B.Tech students with essential personal and professional skills, easing their transition into college life while fostering confidence, clarity, and purpose.
Captain Katoch engaged students through interactive and activity-based methods, guiding them to recognize their strengths, address weaknesses, and set meaningful goals. The exercises encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, communicate effectively, and collaborate with peers, fostering self-awareness and leadership potential.
A key focus of the session was leadership, emphasizing that it is about inspiring and guiding others rather than holding formal positions. Students learned that effective leadership combines vision, empathy, communication, and balancing individual, team, and task responsibilities. The importance of non-verbal communication was also highlighted, with exercises designed to enhance awareness of body language.
Time management and productivity strategies were discussed, including efficient task coordination and sharp thinking to adapt quickly to academic and professional challenges.
