79th Independence Day Celebration

NSS Cell, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, celebrated 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on 15th August, 2025. The campus was beautifully decorated with tricolor flags, evoking a strong sense of pride, unity, and national spirit.Faculty, Staff and Students are attended the celebration. The event was seamlessly coordinated and anchored by Prof. Vishnu Kuntal.
The celebration commenced with the flag hoisting ceremonyby Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh Karyakarte , where the National Flag was unfurled with utmost respect. This solemn moment was accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, filling every heart with patriotic zeal.
Dr. Sangeeta Mangesh Karyakarte, Director of DGI, and Dr. Shailesh Singh, Registrar of DGI, addressed the gathering with inspiring words. They paid tribute to the immense sacrifices of our freedom fighters, reflected on India’s remarkable journey of independence, and emphasized the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.
As part of the celebration, a Plantation Drive – “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” was organized. Director, faculty members, and staff participated in planting saplings across the campus and nearby areas. This initiative served as a tribute to motherhood and a step towards a greener, more sustainable future.
A vibrant Tiranga Yatra was also conducted, where NSS volunteers and students proudly marched with the tricolor, spreading messages of patriotism, unity, and national pride.
Further reinforcing the values of a progressive and healthy society, all attendees participated in taking the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” pledge, affirming their commitment to a drug-free India and raising awareness against substance abuse.
The event concluded with the distribution of refreshments, marking the end of a memorable and meaningful celebration. The entire program instilled a deep sense of pride, responsibility, and dedication among the students and staff towards the nation.
The 79th Independence Day celebration at DGI stood as a heartfelt tribute to India's glorious past and a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility in shaping a better and stronger India.
